Matt Wheeler begins his fourth season with the Blue &
Gold coaching staff and serves as as offensive coordinator. He came to North Carolina Wesleyan from St.
Cloud State University, a Division II school in St. Cloud, MN.
He coached the running backs for three seasons, capturing the 2002
conference championship.
Wheeler was a three-year starter at quarterback at
Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. In
1998, he was the third-rated passer in the nation.
As a senior, he led Wartburg to an undefeated regular season,
winning the conference championship and advancing to the NCAA Division III
playoffs. A two-time All-Conference selection, he was named
Conference Player of the Year
as a senior and was selected to play in the 1999 Aztec Bowl, the national
all-star game for Division III football.
In addition to his coaching duties, Wheeler also
serves as NC Wesleyan's Video Coordinator. He and his wife, Emily, reside in Rocky Mount.

Pat Walker

Pat Walker enters his fourth season with the NC Wesleyan football program
as coach of the running backs. His previous
coaching experience includes stints as an assistant coach for four years at
Patrick County (VA) and Lancaster County (VA) High Schools.
During his collegiate football career, Walker was a three-year starter at
quarterback for Emory & Henry College. He collected two All-Conference
honors as well as two conference championships. He graduated from Emory &
Henry in 1992, and received his master’s degree from East Carolina
University in 2000.

John Glenn enters his second season
with the North Carolina Wesleyan football program and works primarily
with Bishop linebackers. He joins the Blue &
Gold staff after completing a solid collegiate career at East Stroudsburg
University, a NCAA DII school in East Stroudsburg, PA.
Glenn was a three-year starter at
outside linebacker for the Warriors. He helped lead ESU to one
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship and two NCAA playoff
births. In Glenn's 2005 senior season, East Stroudsburg recorded a
school-record 11 wins, a #5 national ranking, a Northeast Regional
Championship, and an NCAA semifinal appearance.
In addition to his coaching duties,
Glenn also serves as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Isaac Mooring enters his second season
with the North Carolina Wesleyan football program as coach of the defensive
line. A graduate of nearby Tarboro High School, he
comes to the Blue & Gold sideline after a solid collegiate career at The
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
As a four-year letterwinner with the
Tar Heels, Mooring saw time on special teams as a freshman and worked his
way into a starting role at defensive tackle during his senior season.
He graduated from UNC in 2003 with a degree in communications.
Mooring, along with his wife and two
children, reside in Tarboro. He will work primarily with the defensive
line.

Max Warner joins the Blue & Gold coaching staff for
his first season and will work primarily with wide receivers. Warner
comes to Rocky Mount after spending last season as an assistant coach at
Lakeland College, a Division III institution in Sheboygan, WI. His other
coaching experience includes serving on the staff of the Jeff Trickey
Quarterback Camp since 2004.
A 2006 graduate of Millikin University, Warner was a
three-year letterwinner for the Big Blue. He saw time at both
quarterback and defensive back during his collegiate career, helping lead MU
to a 24-16 record from 2002 to 2005.

Willie Jones enters his first season as an assistant
coach with North Carolina Wesleyan football program. One of eight assistants
for Jack Ginn's program, he will work alongside John Glenn as a linebacker
coach. His previous coaching
experience includes a stint as co-defensive coordinator at Tennessee State
University, as well as assistant positions at the University of Albany and
Morgan State University.
Jones enjoyed a stellar collegiate playing career at
Morgan State, earning All-American honors. He also coached Tennessee State
to Ohio Valley Conference Championships. Jones holds an undergraduate degree
from Morgan State and two graduate degrees, having earned his MA at Albany
and his MBA at Baker College.

Joe Pizzimenti begins his first season with the Blue &
Gold football program at North Carolina Wesleyan College. Pizzimenti
is a 2002 graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Physical
Education. Upon graduation, he served as assistant football coach at
New Hampshire University in Durham, NH for one season.
Pizzimenti's additional coaching experience includes a one-year
stint as a graduate assistant Eastern Michigan University. He
will assist Mark Henninger as coach of the defensive backs.
