Stugis paces Wesleyan golfers at
GEICO Intercollegiate
Savannah,
GA

North Carolina Wesleyan's golf team
competed in the GEICO
Intercollegiate this weekend,
earning a 15th place finish among 16
participants. The highly competitive
field was comprised of Division I,
II, and III institutions, and the
three-round event was held at the
par-72, 6,845 yard Hunter Golf
Course in Savannah, GA. Freshman
Ryan Stugis (pictured) paced the
Bishops with rounds of 82, 77, and
78, which placed him 45th among 105
players. Host Ohio Wesleyan won the
event with a three-day team total of
899.
Freshman Dylan Bedy turned in NCWC's
low round of the tournament with a
one-over 73 in the final round. The
second round proved to be the
Bishops' best team effort as they
shot a 320.
Also competing for Wesleyan were
Christopher Crews, Cole Brantner,
and John Tappan.
Individually, Ferris State's Eric
Lilleboe earned medalist honors with
a three-day total of 216 to finish
at even par (70-73-73).

NC Wesleyan
will next be in action when the
Bishops host their annual Don
Scalf Invitational. For the
first time in history, this
year's event will be held at
Ford's Colony Rocky Mount on
March 29th and 30th.
