NC Wesleyan promotes Thompson to Vice President, Athletics

Rocky Mount, NC - John Thompson, North Carolina Wesleyan College’s Athletic Director and Head Men’s Basketball Coach, will be using his talents campus-wide as Vice President, Athletics, the College has announced. In his new role, Thompson will join Wesleyan’s primary advisory and leadership group, the President’s Council. He will continue as Men’s Basketball Coach. more >

Coleman nets 15 to lead USA South to Senior Challenge victory

Winchester, VA - NC Wesleyan's Adam Coleman scored 15 points and pulled down five rebounds to help lead the USA South Athletic Conference to its first USAC/ODAC Senior Challenge victory in the four-year history of the contest. This year's game was hosted by Hampden-Sydney College and saw the USA South seniors earn a thrilling

Three Bishops among USA South postseason award-winners

Winchester, VA - The USA South has announced its All-Conference awards for men's basketball with a total of 20 student-athletes earning recognition. Thomas' double-double not enough, Bishops end season at SU

Winchester, VA - Freshman Domarius Thomas tallied his first career double-double on Tuesday night, but it was not enough as the North Carolina Wesleyan men's basketball team dropped an 83-77 decision to Shenandoah in the first round of the 2009 USA South Conference Tournament. Thomas (pictured) netted 16 points and grabbed 11 boards for the Battling Bishops, who finish the season with a 14-12 overall record. more >

Wesleyan men's and women's hoop squads honor 2009 seniors

Rocky Mount, NC - Prior to the start of Saturday's men's and women's basketball games versus Ferrum College, head coaches John Brackett and John Thompson took time to honor their 2009 senior classes. On the women's side, the Bishops recognized Essence Chambers, while on the men's side, the Bishops honored Adam Coleman and Buddy Williams. more >
