Fayetteville, NC - The USA South Athletic Conference announced the results of its 2009-2010 men's and women's basketball preseason coaches polls on Wednesday afternoon. On the men's side, head coach John Thompson's squad was picked second among seven teams and received two first place votes, while on the women's side, first-year head coach Artina Trader's team earned a ninth place billing among ten teams. more >

Rocky Mount, NC - NC Wesleyan head men’s basketball coach John Thompson has announced the addition of veteran high school coach Mike Mosley to his staff for the upcoming 2009-2010 hoops season. Mosley, who spent more than 20 years with the Nash-Rocky Mount school system before his retirement last spring, is excited to join the Battling Bishops and his long-time friend on the sidelines. more >

Rocky Mount, NC - John Thompson, North Carolina Wesleyan College’s Athletic Director and Head Men’s Basketball Coach, will be using his talents campus-wide as Vice President, Athletics, the College has announced. In his new role, Thompson will join Wesleyan’s primary advisory and leadership group, the President’s Council. He will continue as Men’s Basketball Coach. more >
