Greensboro, NC
- North Carolina Wesleyan's men's soccer team competed this
past weekend at the Doug Hamilton Memorial Tournament hosted
by Greensboro College. The Battling Bishops dropped a
tough 2-1 decision to York College (PA) on Saturday before
rebounding with a 2-0 win over Cape Fear in Sunday's

On Saturday, the Bishops
gave up a quick goal to YC's Travis Williams at the 11:06

into the break before NCWC's Javier Castrillo knotted the

senior Robert Ivanovich.
The game looked to be
headed for overtime until York's Jon Ports netted the
gamewinner with just 2:57 remaining on the clock. YC
out-shot NCWC 14-11 in the match and held a 3-2 advantage in
corners.
