Rocky Mount, NC - Methodist University recorded a sweep in Monday's USA South tennis action as the Monarch men and women each earned 9-0 wins over North Carolina Wesleyan.  With the losses, the Bishop men now stand at 3-3 overall, 2-2 in conference play, while the NCWC women are now 3-4 on the season, 2-3 in league action.

Methodist's men (3-4, 2-0) remained in a tie with Averett atop the conference standings with Monday's convincing win.  The Monarchs surrendered just four games in doubles action before recording six straight-set victories in singles play.

The Monarch women (9-2, 1-0) picked up their first conference win in similar fashion as they lost just five games en route to a 3-0 doubles sweep.  NCWC's Jenna Gollub put up the biggest fight in singles play, falling 6-2, 6-3 to current USA South Player of the Week Tiffany Tucker.

The Bishop women continue league play on Wednesday when they host Christopher Newport at 2:30 p.m.  Wesleyan's men will next be in action on at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Greensboro College.
