Insley's 20 kills powers Wesleyan to 3-2 win over UMW

Rocky Mount, NC - Junior Brittany Insley tallied a season-high 20 kills on Sunday afternoon, leading her North Carolina Wesleyan volleyball squad to a 3-2 win over visiting Mary Washington in Everett Gymnasium.  Insley (pictured) added 13 digs defensively for the Bishops, who even their overall season record at 3-3 with the victory. Set scores were 25-23, 23-25, 21-25, 25-18, and 16-14.

A tightly played match throughout, Wesleyan used the momentum gained in a set four win to take game five.  The match ended with the Bishop benefiting from two close calls on the line.

In addition to Insley's performance, freshman setter Mackenzie Tingle recorded 42 assists and six service aces. Sophomore libero Kelly George added a team-high 14 digs.

NCWC returns to action at Randolph-Macon's Invitational Tournament next weekend in Ashland, VA.  The Bishops will first take on Trinity University at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
