Wesleyan's Cain named
to USA South All-Sportsmanship Team

The USA South Athletic Conference has
announced its postseason awards for women's basketball with
a total of 30 student-athletes being named to the league's
All-Conference teams. North Carolina Wesleyan is pleased to
announce that freshman Rebekah Cain was chosen as the
Battling Bishops' representative on the All-Sportsmanship

Williams, wrap up 2009-2010 season

- The NC
Wesleyan women's basketball team wrapped up their 2009-2010
season on Saturday afternoon, falling to Meredith College by
an 88-68 score. Prior to the contest, the Bishops and head
coach Artina Trader honored Nicole Williams, the lone senior
member of this year's squad. Williams (pictured) responded
with a season-high 12 points and four assists.

Driver's last-second shot
gives Trader first Wesleyan victory

- First-year
head coach Artina Trader picked up her first coaching
victory at NCWC on Thursday night as her Bishops turned in a
thrilling 51-50 win over Peace College in Everett Gym.
Desiree' Driver (pictured) scored Wesleyan's last five
points, including the game-winning lay-up with 2.7 seconds
left, to give the Bishops a one-point victory and ignite a
frenzied celebration at midcourt by Bishop players and fans.

Wesleyan women come up short
versus Greensboro, 73-57
Rocky Mount, NC -
The Battling Bishop women's basketball team fell to visiting
Greensboro College by a 73-57 score on Wednesday night in
Everett Gymnasium. Despite a team-high 13 points by freshman
Leann Breeden (pictured), Wesleyan could not overcome a
solid three-point shooting performance by the Pride, who
knocked down
6-of-12 attempts from behind the arc.
