Graham tallies pair of
double-doubles, NCWC women drop
four

- The women’s basketball team of North
Carolina Wesleyan dropped a pair of USA South contests this
weekend, falling to Averett
University and Ferrum College on Saturday and Sunday,
respectively. Freshman forward
Imani Graham (pictured) turned in back-to-back
double-doubles to spark the
Battling Bishops off the
bench, averaging 10 points and 12.5 rebounds
over the two-game span.

Drake's 23 secures
victory for Wesleyan men, women fall at GC

Senior point guard Trey
Drake poured in 23 points on 10-of-17 shooting to lead his
North Carolina Wesleyan men's basketball squad to a 74-70
USA South road victory over Greensboro College on Saturday.
Drake knocked down 3-of-4 attempts from behind the arc to
help the Bishops move to 6-9 overall, and more importantly,
2-1 in league play. On the women's side,
Wesleyan turned in a strong performance in the second
half but fell 66-45.

CNU hoopsters earn
doubleheader sweep of Battling Bishops

Wesleyan’s hoops squads suffered a USA South doubleheader sweep on the road at
Christopher Newport on Wednesday night. In the men’s game, CNU’s Jake Capin
connected on 6-of-7 three-point attempts to help the
Captains secure an 89-79 victory, while on the women’s side,
the Bishops shot just 22 percent from the floor as NCWC dropped
an 84-29

The Hornets of Shenandoah
University used a strong second half to key a 75-42 USA
South Conference women's basketball victory over host North
Carolina Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon in Everett
Gymnasium. Despite the loss, the Battling Bishops
got another
impressive outing from freshman Samantha Urquhart (pictured), who
finished with a game-high 22 points and 16 rebounds.
