Wesleyan golf wins Johnston Community College Tourney

Clayton, NC - North Carolina Wesleyan wrapped up its 2007 non-traditional golf season in style on Saturday, turning in a first-place finish at Johnston Community College's fall scrimmage. The Bishops' top four scorers each shot below 80, led by freshman Dylan Bedy's 72. Wesleyan recorded one of the lowest team scores in recent memory with a 302.

The tournament was held at Pine Hollow Golf Course in Clayton, NC. A par-72 course, the Bishops managed countable scores of 72, 73, 78, and 79.

Wesleyan has now completed its fall season. Having shown much promise over their first three tournaments, the Bishops will now look forward to a competitive spring slate.
