Hall, Arrington, and Coleman earn USA South accolades

Fayetteville, NC - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its post-season awards for men's basketball, and a total of 20 student-athletes have been named to the All-Conference teams.  North Carolina Wesleyan College is pleased to announce that senior Lenny Hall was named to the Second Team, while sophomore Jarmel Arrington was an Honorable Mention selection. Junior Adam Coleman rounded out Wesleyan's honorees with his placement on the league's inaugural All-Sportsmanship squad.

Lenny Hall (right), a Wilmington, NC native, led the Bishops in scoring for the fourth consecutive year at 16.9 points per game.  Additionally, he ranked second in the league with 60 steals and was third in both assists (103) and free throw percentage (80.7%). A four-time All-Conference performer during his career, the pre-season All-American became North Carolina Wesleyan's all-time leading scorer earlier in the season and was named to the 2008 NCCSIA All-State team.

A product of nearby Northern Nash High School, sophomore Jarmel Arrington (left) picks up the second All-Conference honor of his career after averaging 16.1 points per game in league play. Arrington ranked second in the USA South in three-pointers made with 60, while ranking in the top ten in overall scoring (14.1 ppg) and three-point accuracy (38.2%).

Junior Adam Coleman (right) was Wesleyan's selection for the inaugural All-Sportsmanship team. The Rocky Mount, NC native exemplified tremendous character throughout the season, while contributing a near double-double. Coleman turned in 10.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for head coach John Thompson's squad.

After upsetting 2nd-seeded Ferrum in Wednesday's first round action, the three will lead their 7th-seeded Battling Bishops (12-14) against the 6th-seeded Greensboro Pride on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. in the conference tournament semifinals.  Both the semifinals and finals will be hosted by Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA.
