the
third
time
this
season
and
second
time
this
week,
the
Bishop
men's
soccer
team
of
North
Carolina
Wesleyan
was forced
into
double
overtime.
The
latest
opponent
to
test
Wesleyan's
perfect
record was St.
Mary's
College
(MD),
which
watched junior
forward
Oz
Otoo
(pictured)
score
the
game-winning
goal
for
the
Bishops
with
5:54
remaining
in
the final
overtime
of
Sunday's
non-conference
match. Danny
Jones
was
credited
with
the
assist
as
the
Bishops
improved
to
14-0-1
overall
on
the
season.
The
Seahawks
fell
to
5-8
overall
with
the
loss.
Jeff
Johnson
earned
the
win
in
net
for
Wesleyan
by
making
five
saves.
Senior
Greg
Kamerow
started
and
played
the
first
half
in
goal
for
the
Seahawks,
recording
one
save.
Junior
Tim
Carrier
played
the
second
half
and
both
overtime
periods
for
St.
Mary's
and
took
the
loss
despite
making
six
saves
on
the
day.
The
Bishops held
an
18-12
advantage
in
shots,
while the
Seahawks claimed
a
5-2
edge
in
corner
kicks.
Wesleyan
travels
to
Villa
Julie
next
Saturday
for
a
2:00
p.m.
match
in
Stevenson,
MD.
The
Bishops
will
then
wrap
up
their
regular
season
slate
at
home
against
Christopher
Newport
on
October
28th.
