build
upon
one

successful
seasons
in
program
history
with
a
3-0
win
at
Villa
Julie
College
on
Saturday
afternoon.
The
shutout
is
the
12th
for
the
Bishops
this
fall
and
ties
the
program's
season
record
set
in
1986.
With
the
win,
Wesleyan
remains
undefeated
with
a
15-0-1
overall
record
going
into
next
Saturday's
regular
season
finale
against
Christopher
Newport.
Shawn
Dixon
scored
the
game's
first
goal,
the
eventual
gamewinner,
in
the
33rd
minute
off
an
Oz
Otoo
free
kick.
Junior
Danny
Jones
also
picked
up
an
assist
on
the
play.
The
Bishops
would
take
the
1-0
lead
into
the
break
and
seal
the
victory
with
two
Justin
Thompson
goals
in
the
53rd
and
62nd
minutes,
respectively.
Wesleyan
out-shot
VJC
20-5
on
the
day.
Eric
Lowman
made
nine
saves
for
Villa
Julie,
while
Bishop
goalie
Renato
Corte
did
not
face
a
shot-on-goal.
Next
Saturday's
match-up
with
CNU
is
slated
for
2:00
p.m.
at
Scalf
Field
and
will
determine
the
2006
USA
South
Conference
Champion.
The
Captains
(5-0-0
USA
South)
will
earn
the
title
with
a
win
or
tie,
while
the
Bishops
(4-0-1
USA
South)
must
win
in
order
to
secure
their
third
straight
league
crown.
