Fayetteville, NC - Behind a season-high nine goals, the Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan cruised to a 9-0 victory over Warren Wilson College in Sunday's men's soccer action at the 2006 Methodist College Fall Classic.  Freshmen Ernesto Marquez and Thorsteinn Georgsson each notched two goals, while sophomore Alimamy Jabbie tallied two assists in his first action of the season.  The Battling Bishops are now 5-0 to start the season.

Wesleyan took a 2-0 lead into intermission after Lucas Fuentes and Alimamy Kargbo each scored first-half goals.  Fuentes' goal came on a penalty kick in the 28th minute and proved to be the eventual gamewinner.

The Bishops exploded for seven goals in the final period, including two in the first two minutes of the half.  Wesleyan was led by Georgsson and Marquez's two goals apiece, while Oz Otoo, Michael Brown, and Robert Henson also recorded goals.  In addition to Jabbie, Otoo and Danny Jones also notched assists.

For the game, the Bishops out-shot Warren Wilson 42-1.  WWC goalie Brett Buffington tallied 10 saves.

Wesleyan opens up USA South play on Wednesday when the Bishops travel back to Methodist for a 4:00 p.m. match-up with the Monarchs.
