Wesleyan announces 2006 “Late Night Blue & White” festivities

Rocky Mount, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan men’s and women’s basketball squads will make their 2006 debuts at the annual “Late Night Blue & White” game to be held on October 28th in Everett Gymnasium.  The event will kicks off at 10:00 p.m. and is being sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

This year’s festivities will include a DJ, an appearance by the Bishop cheerleading squad, a t-shirt giveaway, and drawings for a men’s basketball warm-up and a new stereo donated by FCA. Additionally, the first 75 fans in attendance will receive a basketball schedule poster, also courtesy of FCA. 

The night will begin with the introduction of the 2006 men’s and women’s basketball rosters, followed by intra-squad scrimmages by both teams.  Giveaways and drawings will take place throughout the night.

This year’s Blue/White Night will cap a busy day on campus for Bishop athletics.  Football will be hosting Christopher Newport at 1:00 p.m. at the Rocky Mount Athletic Complex, while men’s soccer will host CNU at 2:00 p.m. to determine the 2006 USA South Conference champion.  Volleyball will be at home as well, hosting Ferrum College at 9:30 a.m. and Peace College at 7:30 p.m.
