Bush earns fifth
USA South Offensive Rookie of the
Week award

- The North Carolina
Wesleyan Department of
Athletics is pleased to
announce that freshmen
Teron Bush of football
has been selected as the USA
Offensive
South Rookie of the
Week for November 13th.
This is the fifth award this season
for Bush.
Bush (pictured), a freshman tailback from
Newport News, VA,
helped the Battling
Bishops defeat
conference foe
Greensboro, 42-20 in
Saturday's regular
season finale. Bush
carried the ball ten
times for a total of 67
yards and one touchdown.
He also caught six
passes for 37 yards,
while averaging 6.7
yards per carry and
scoring from two yards
out.
Bush
was an instrumental part
of Wesleyan's
record-setting season.
With a 6-4 overall
record and 5-2
conference mark, the
Blue & Gold set program
records for total wins
(6), conference wins
(5), consecutive wins
(4), and conference
finish (3rd).
He
amassed 719 yards on the
ground this season to go
along with six rushing
touchdowns. Bush
also hauled in 19 passes
for 167 yards and two
touchdowns. His
final duty involved
running back kickoffs.
In 18 chances, he
totaled 350 yards (19.4
yards/return).
