WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT:  Wesleyan athletes honor local heroes on September 11th

Rocky Mount, NC - September 11th is a time for remembering our fallen heroes from New York to Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C.  It is also a time to recognize those local heroes that risk their lives daily to insure the safety of our Rocky Mount community. 

For this reason, the student-athletes of North Carolina Wesleyan annually honor our local policemen and firefighters by distributing

season passes to all Battling Bishop sporting events.  The passes, which are good for  up to four people, were delivered to area stations by Wesleyan student-athletes and coaches last week.

This marks the fifth consecutive season that the Bishops have honored the tragedy of September 11th, 2001 by distributing these passes, which serve as a small token of our gratitude for our local law enforcement.

Bottom: Women's Basketball and Softball visit the Red Oak Fire Department.
