each earned
USA South
Athlete of
the Week
accolades in
their
respective
sports.
Insley was
tabbed
Player of
the Week
after
leading her
Bishop
volleyball
squad to
three wins,
while Mathis
was named
Offensive
Rookie of
the Week
after
helping
Wesleyan to
a 47-28
gridiron win
over
Shenandoah.
VOLLEYBALL
PLAYER OF
THE WEEK
Insley, a
junior
middle
hitter from
Arlington,
Ohio, helped
the Bishops
to a 3-0
record last
week by
averaging
3.8
kills/set,
1.8
digs/set,
and 0.9
blocks/set.
She also led
the team
with an
impressive
.412 hitting
percentage.
In a 3-2 win
over Chowan,
Insley
tallied a
double-double
with a
match-high
18 kills and
12 digs. She
also added a
co-match
high five
blocks. In a
3-0 victory
over USA
South foe
Mary
Baldwin,
Insley
totaled a
match-high
11 kills,
while in a
3-1 win over
league rival
Greensboro,
she
contributed
a team-high
16 kills,
seven digs,
and a
match-high
four blocks.
This is
Insley's
fourth
Player of
the Week
award this
season.

the Bishops'

over USA

Shenandoah.
Mathis
carried the

average and

touchdowns.
He had
rushing
scores of 58
and 15
yards, while
hauling in
one pass for
14 yards.
This is
Mathis'
second
Offensive
Rookie of
the Week
award this
season.
