WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT: North Carolina Wesleyan women's soccer honors 2008 senior class

Rocky Mount, NC - Prior to the start of Saturday's women's soccer game versus Ferrum College, head coach Beverly Biancur and her Battling Bishop squad honored their 2008 seniors. Eight young ladies comprise this year's class, seven of which are four-year letterwinners. Below is a brief description of each player's career.

#00      Bryanne Godfrey
Bryanne has seen action in 43 games at goalkeeper for the Battling Bishops.  She has tallied 229 saves and nine shutouts during her career, earning USA South All-Conference accolades as a freshman.  A History major, Bryanne hails from Howell, NJ and is the daughter of Thomas and Theresa Godfrey.

 #4        Reva McCloud
Reva has started 63 games during her Battling Bishop career.  A three-time USA South All-Conference selection, she leads all players during that span with 24 goals and 25 assists for 73 points. Majoring in Justice Studies, Reva is a native of Norfolk, VA and is the daughter of Neil and Faith McCloud.

#7        Mikey Case
Mikey has seen action in 54 games at defender for the Bishops and has helped Wesleyan’s defense earn 13 shutouts during her career. Academically, she earned ESPN Academic All-Region accolades in 2007. A Psychology major, Mikey is from Bolivia, NC and is the daughter of Martin and Stacey Case.

 #14      Alex Fountaine
Alex is a two-year letterwinner for the Bishops after transferring to North Carolina Wesleyan in 2007. She has since seen action in 21 games for Coach Biancur, notching one assist. Majoring in Exercise Science, Alex is from Townsend, VA and is the daughter of Robert and Katherine Fountaine.

 #16      Rachel Hernandez
Rachel has seen action in 64 games in the midfield during her North Carolina Wesleyan career. She has tallied 16 goals and five assists for 37 points, earning All-Conference honors as a freshman. An Accounting major, Rachel is a native of Endwell, NY and is the daughter of Lin Carmen.

 #17      Lauren Stearns
Lauren has seen action in 63 games for the Battling Bishops. A talented defender that has helped Wesleyan record 13 shutouts, she has twice garnered USA South All-Conference accolades. Majoring in Exercise Science, Lauren hails from Broomall, PA and is the daughter of Paul and Joanna Stearns. 

#19      Tori Tenner
Tori is a three-year captain for the Bishops and has seen action in 57 games over the course of her career. She has scored eight goals and notched six assists during that time for 22 total points. An Accounting major, Tori is a native of Woodbridge, VA and is the daughter of Tom and Sandra Tenner.

#20      Megan Kintner
Megan is a four-year letterwinner for the Bishops, having seen action in 53 games. She has managed four goals and one assist for nine total points over the course of her career. Majoring in Computer Information Systems, Megan is from Waldorf, MD and is the daughter of Brent and Kelly Kintner.
