Wesleyan announces 2009 “Late Night Blue
& White” festivities
Rocky Mount, NC
- The North Carolina Wesleyan men’s and women’s
basketball squads have announced plans for their annual “Late Night Blue & White”
game to be held on
Saturday, October 24th in Everett Gymnasium. The event will
kick off at 10:00 p.m. and will cap off a full day
of Homecoming activities for the Bishops.
This year’s
festivities will include musical entertainment and an appearance by the Battling Bishop cheerleading
squad, as well as prize giveaways. The night will begin with the introduction of the
2009-10 men’s and women’s basketball squads, followed
by an intra-squad scrimmage by the men's team.
Blue/White Night
is one of several activities highlighting the
Battling Bishops' 2009 Homecoming slate.
Football will be hosting Maryville College at 1:00 p.m.
at the Northern Nash Football Complex, while
women’s soccer will host Shenandoah University at 4:00
p.m. at Scalf Field. Then at 6:30 p.m., North
Carolina Wesleyan will hold an induction ceremony
for this year's Athletics Hall of Fame inductees,
which includes Marquis McDougald of men's
basketball, Chris Webb of women's basketball &
soccer, and Terry Britt of men's golf.
Head Coaches John
Thompson and Artina Trader are excited to be a part
of this year's festivities, and Wesleyan fans are
welcomed to come out and support their teams.
