Golf's Gilbert earns second straight Rookie of the Week award

Fayetteville, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that freshman Jack Gilbert of men's golf has earned his second consecutive USA South Rookie of the Week award. Gilbert was selected after his solid performance at this week's Greensboro College Fall Invitational.

Gilbert continued his impressive play on Monday and Tuesday, carding rounds of 70 and 75 for a two-day total of 145 (+1) at Meadowlands Country Club. The London, England native finished in 7th-place among 71 golfers to secure his second top-10 finish in as many tourneys, while the Bishops finished in 6th place as a team.
