Idestal earns second USA South Rookie of the Week award

Fayetteville, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that freshman Kristoffer Idestal (pictured) of men's golf has earned his second USA South Rookie of the Week award. Idestal's selection marks the fourth week this fall that a Bishop player has won the league's weekly honor.  He was chosen after his solid performance at this week's Tom & Bettie O'Briant Memorial Tournament hosted by Guilford College.

Idestal, a freshman from Gothenburg, Sweden, shot a two-day 160 to tie for 37th-place among 90 golfers at the O'Briant Tourney, which was held at the Cardinal Golf & Country Club in Greensboro. Idestal helped the Bishops to a 13th-place finish in the two-day event. He shot a first round 85 and then followed with a five-over par 75 in round two.
