Moshier goes 4-for-4, Fulford tosses second no-hitter

Raleigh, NC - Sophomore outfielder Whitney Moshier went 4-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs, and junior Libby Fulford threw the second no-hitter of her career to lead their North Carolina Wesleyan softball squad to a 6-0 victory over Peace College in game one of Monday's USA South twinbill.  The Pacers rebounded in game two to take a 5-2 win and secure the split.  The Bishops are now 18-8 on the season, 7-5 in conference action, while Peace is 21-13 overall, 5-7 in league play.

An RBI-double by Courtney Tucker gave Wesleyan an early 1-0 lead in the first inning of game one, and it would be more than enough for Fulford.  Fulford's no-no was the second of her career, with her first coming last spring at the hands of Averett University.

Tucker and Fulford both finished 2-for-4 at the plate to go along with Moshier's impressive offensive showing in the opener.

Game two saw Peace's Ashley Stansbury toss a five-hitter of her own en route to the 5-2 victory.  Tucker drove in both Bishops runs and now has 31 RBIs on the season.

The Bishops wrap up USA South play on Wednesday when they travel to Christopher Newport for a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader with the Captains.
