Wesleyan volleyball falls 3-0 at Christopher Newport

Newport News, VA - In Tuesday night USA South volleyball action, the Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan fell on the road to host Christopher Newport in a 3-0 sweep.  Game scores were 30-18, 30-20, and 30-24.  Wesleyan is now 4-10 overall on the season, 0-4 in USA South action.  Sydney Bens and Brittany Insley each had eight kills to pace the Bishops. 

Also chipping in for Wesleyan, Caitlin George turned in 23 assists and anchored the defense with a team-high 10 digs.

For CNU (8-6, 4-0), Liz Bush tallied a game-high 12 kills, Jenna Williams had nine digs.  The Captains recorded a .246 hitting percentage compared to the Bishops' .077.

The Bishops will travel to Ferrum College on Saturday for conference matches with the host Panthers and Peace College.
