Insley tallies 30 kills in 3-1 Bishop win over Meredith

Raleigh, NC - Freshman Brittany Insley (pictured) tallied a career-high 30 kills on Wednesday night, leading her North Carolina Wesleyan volleyball squad to a 3-1 win over Meredith College in Raleigh.  Game scores were 27-30, 30-27, 31-29, and 30-26 as the Bishops move to 10-17 on the season.  The win also avenges a 3-1 loss to the Angels earlier in the season.

Sophomore Sydney Bens also turned in a solid performance with a team-high 20 digs to go along with 11 kills.  Setter Caitlin George chipped in with 39 assists, while Cristin Jones and Insley each added 15 digs apiece.

Insley completed the all-around effort with five blocks and three service aces for the Bishops, who have now won six of their last ten games.

Wesleyan returns to action at home on Friday night when they host Shenandoah at 7:00 p.m. in Everett Gym.  Saturday will serve as Senior Night for Jones, Casey Spivey, April Wilson, and Liana Poyer.
