Bishop runners fall in to Chowan in dual meet, 29-27

Rocky Mount, NC - Despite a first place finish by freshman Julianna Richardson, the Bishop cross country squad of North Carolina Wesleyan fell to Chowan University in Tuesday's dual meet by a 29-27 score.  The 5K race was ran on the Wesleyan campus and served as the Bishops' final tune-up before the season-ending USA South Championship on October 28th in Greensboro.

Richardson ran a season-best 5K time of 24:18 to take top individual honors.  Junior Allie Stylc finished fourth with a time of 25:55.  Katelyn Guinn, Jessica Pollard, and Alexa Ashworth rounded out the Bishop scorers with seventh, eighth, and ninth place finishes.
