Wesleyan women fall at Greensboro in soccer action, 4-0

Greensboro, NC - The Pride of Greensboro College opened up a 3-0 lead at intermission and added an insurance goal in the second half to secure a 4-0 victory over visiting North Carolina Wesleyan in Wednesday's USA South soccer action.  The loss snaps the Bishops' two-game winning streak and sends Wesleyan to 3-3-1 on the season, 1-2-0 in league play.

Ashley Cabral and Ashton Oliver each scored two goals to lead the Pride, who out-shot Wesleyan 26-7 in the contest.  Cabral and Santina Doldo recorded assists.  Greensboro is now 2-6-1 overall, 2-1-0 in conference action.

Bishop goalies Bryanne Godfrey and Cary Trump split time in goal with Godfrey making three saves and Trump four.  Wesleyan's offense managed only three shots-on-goal on the day.

The Bishops will host a non-conference match against Catholic University on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
