Wesleyan falls to Greensboro in women's soccer action, 5-0

Rocky Mount, NC - Greensboro's Ashley Cabral scored four goals on Saturday afternoon, leading her Pride to a 5-0 shutout of North Carolina Wesleyan in USA South women's soccer action.  Greensboro improves to 6-1-1 with the win, 2-0-0 in conference action.  The Bishops are now 1-5-0 overall, 0-2-0 in league play.

Cabral scored the eventual game-winner on an assist from Tessa Hall in the 15th minute.  It would be the only scoring in the first half as Greensboro took a 1-0 lead into the break.

The Pride squandered hopes of a Bishop comeback with two Cabral goals in the first minute of the second half. Cabral added a fourth goal in the 59th minute, while Hall secured the 5-0 final with an unassisted goal at the 75:30 mark.

Greensboro out-shot Wesleyan 26-6 on the day.  Bishop goalie Sarah Hess managed 13 saves in the losing effort.  GC's Shana Saganich recorded two stops en route to the win and shutout.

Wesleyan returns to action on Wednesday with a non-conference match at Chowan University.  Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m. in Murfreesboro.
