Eastern North Carolina Career Alliance (ENCCA) Career Fair
Event
North Carolina Wesleyan is a member of ENCCA, a consortium of
nine eastern
NC private liberal arts colleges who sponsors an annual job fair at the McKimmon
Center in Raleigh, NC. Open to students and and alumni of member schools only.
Students without transportation to Raleigh will be accommodated.
Have career questions answered, network with area employers, present resumes
for consideration! Be prepared! Be professional!
The next fair will be held on Thursday, February, 21, 2008! See
below for details and registration procedures.
Registration is required!
Schedule of Events
Career Information Exchange
9:00 – 12:00
All students and alumni are encouraged to attend the Career Information
Exchange. Seniors, graduate students, and alumni may investigate
career
opportunities and discuss the possibility of a formal job interview during the
afternoon session or at a later date. Undergraduate students are invited to
attend and talk with employers about internships, summer and
part-time jobs. We encourage you to bring a supply of resumes and dress
appropriately. Employers will have company literature and will talk with you
about job and career opportunities within their organizations. See below for the registration process.
Interviews
1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Some employers will conduct 30-minute individual interviews during the
afternoon. Employers have the option to create an interview schedule during the
Career Information Exchange in the morning. Students and alumni can schedule
interviews by networking with employers during the Career Information Exchange
and inquiring about the possibility of an interview later in the day.
As in most cases, the early bird gets the worm since there will be a limited
number of interview slots. Plan to come to the Career Fair early in the
morning and don't hesitate to ask employers for a spot on their interview
schedule.
