Four Bishops named to 2005 NSCAA All-South Region
team

Carolina Wesleyan men’s soccer program is pleased to
announce that four of its players have received
NSCAA All-South Region accolades. USA South Rookie
of the Year Philip Lyding and sophomore Lucas
Fuentes were named to the second team, while senior
Jon Dyer (pictured) and sophomore Alimamy Kargbo
were third team selections. Dyer and Fuentes were
honored at the forward slots, while Lyding and
Kargbo were honored in the midfield. All four were
previously honored as first-team All-Conference
selections in November.
With ten goals and three assists, Dyer led the
Bishops in scoring this past season with 23 points.
In his first season with the Bishops, Lyding became
the second consecutive NCWC player to be named
Rookie of the Year after notching six goals and nine
assists as Wesleyan’s third leading scorer. Kargbo
tallied nine assists on the season, while last
year’s USA South Rookie of the Year Fuentes recorded
five goals and five assists.
