Wesleyan announces 2009 “Late Night Blue
& White” festivities

Wesleyan men’s and women’s basketball squads have
announced plans for their annual “Late Night Blue &
White” game to
be held on Saturday, October 24th in Everett Gym.
The event kicks off at
10:00 p.m.

hoops polls

NC - The USA
South
Athletic
Conference announced the results of its
2009-2010 men's and women's basketball preseason
coaches polls on Wednesday afternoon. On the men's
side, head coach John Thompson's squad was picked
second among seven teams and received two first
place votes, while on the women's side, first-year
head coach Artina Trader's team earned a ninth place
billing among ten teams.

Artina Trader to head women's hoops program

Mount, NC - The North
Carolina Wesleyan Department of Athletics is pleased
to announce that College alumna Artina J. Trader has
been named head coach of the Battling Bishop women's
basketball program. A 1999 Wesleyan graduate and
four-year letterwinner for the Bishops, Trader
succeeds her former coach John Brackett and is just
the third head coach to lead the program in the past
40 years. She is ecstatic to make the return to her
alma mater.

Essence Chambers tabbed Second Team All-USA South
Fayetteville, NC
- The USA South has announced its All-Conference awards for
women's basketball with a total of 31 student-athletes
earning recognition. Essence Chambers was tabbed a Second Team selection after
averaging 18 points and four assists per game. This marks
the second consecutive season that Chambers has earned
honors. more
