NCWC runners finish third at Methodist University Tri-Meet

Fayetteville, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan cross country squad traveled to Fayetteville, NC on Wednesday afternoon for its final tune-up before the USA South Championship meet on October 27th. The host Monarchs took first place with 20 points, followed by Fayetteville State University in second place with 43. The Bishops finished third with 74 points and were led by Juliana Richardson's ninth place finish among the field of 20.  She complete the 5K race with a time of 27:02.

Other Bishop runners included freshman Meghan Herd, who finished 13th with a season-best time of 30:23, and sophomore Jessica Pollard, who completed the course just three seconds behind her teammate. 

Junior Ashley Ball ran her first race of the season in 32:11 to finish 18th, while freshman Tasheika Fulmore rounded out Wesleyan's scorers in 20th place with time of 42:31.

FSU's Denise Lewis took individual medalist honors with a time of 21:13.

The USA South Championship meet will be held in Greensboro, NC.  The Bishops finished in 7th place last season.
