Diamond Bishops drop three at USAC/ODAC Spring Challenge

Greensboro, NC - North Carolina Wesleyan’s baseball team suffered an 0-3 mark at this past weekend’s USAC/ODAC Spring Challenge. The Battling Bishops (2-5) dropped a 12-10 decision at Guilford on Saturday before falling to Randolph-Macon and Bridgewater by 7-5 and 6-3 scores on Sunday, respectively. Despite the losses, senior Zollie Woodlief (pictured) had a productive weekend at the plate, going
6-for-12 with two homeruns and four RBI.

Jonathan Shearon, Andrew Webb, and Justin Diener each suffered losses on the mound during the tourney, which saw the ODAC institutions score a 7-2 record versus their USA South counterparts.

Wesleyan returns to action on the road this Friday when the Battling Bishops travel to LaGrange College for a 3:00 p.m. match-up with the Panthers.
