Rocky Mount, NC - The Duhawks of Loras College netted three second half goals on Sunday afternoon, coming from behind to defeat the University of Redlands by a 3-1 score in Rocky Mount. Loras remains undefeated on the season at 23-0-1 and advances to next weekend's NCAA Division III Final Four in Orlando, Florida. Redlands took the early lead with a goal in the 16th minute by Max Bowman, who converted a beautiful bicycle kick. Bryan Fakkema was credited with the assist after serving the ball from the right side into the box. The Bulldogs took their 1-0 lead into the break. Matt Pucci tied the score for the Duhawks with a goal in the 61st minute off a Santiago Mejia free kick. The game seemed to be headed for overtime until Loras managed two goals in the final ten minutes of play by Nick Rizzo and Mike Richter, respectively. Redlands out-shot Loras 12-11 on the day, but Duhawk keeper Nate DuBois recorded four saves to the Bulldogs' two. Redlands ends its season with a 20-4-0 mark, while Loras will now face Middlebury College in national semifinal play.
