Frankie Taal enters his sixth year with
the
North Carolina Wesleyan men's soccer program. He hails from Bethany College in West
Virginia, where he served two seasons as head women's soccer coach.
Originally from Gambia, West Africa, Taal
graduated from Bethany in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science.
A veteran of Bethany College soccer, Coach Taal
spent over a decade around the men's and women's soccer programs. As a
collegiate player, he was a two-time PAC
All-Conference selection and was a member of the Bison's 1994 Division III National
Championship team.
Following the completion of his career, Taal moved to the
sidelines as an assistant for the men's team. During that time, Bethany won
five PAC titles and earned five berths into the NCAA tournament.
Taal's Wesleyan career has seen the
Bishops turn in an 81-14-6 overall record, including three regular season
USA South Championships, two USA South Tournament Championships, four NCAA
Tournament berths, and two NCAA Sweet 16 appearances. In addition to his
coaching duties, Taal also serves as a Resident Director for NCWC Campus
Life.

Jason Bottani enters his first season as
a student-assistant coach with the North Carolina Wesleyan men’s soccer program.
Defensively, Bottani was a four-year letterwinner for the Battling Bishops
from 2004-2007, garnering USA South All-Conference accolades all four
seasons. A native of Pompton Lakes, NJ, he is in the process of completing
his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science.

Pa Saloum Gai begins his first season as
a student-assistant coach with the North Carolina Wesleyan men’s soccer program.
Gai was a three-year letterwinner for the Battling Bishops as a defender
before making the transition to the sidelines this season. A native of
Banjul, Gambia, he is in the process of completing his undergraduate degree
at NCWC.
