Wesleyan basketball to sponsor "Take a
Kid to the Game"
Rocky
Mount,
NC
- The North
Carolina Wesleyan men's and women's
basketball teams will be sponsoring its
2007 "Take a Kid to the Game" day this
coming Saturday, January 20th when the
Bishops host Greensboro College.
The women tip off at 2:00 p.m. followed
by the men at 4:00 p.m. in Everett
Gymnasium. Youth 12 and under will be
admitted free to both games and will
receive promotional bracelets and
posters upon arrival.
North Carolina
Wesleyan is hosting one of more than 700
games that will be played across the
nation this season as part of the Take A
Kid to the Game program. This project
is a grass roots initiative that
attracts the nation’s youth and
encourages adults to take kids to area
college basketball games.
“We are pleased to
extend the invitation to the community
as we invite adults to bring children to
experience a collegiate athletic event,”
said Rikki Rich, Sports Information
Director at NC Wesleyan.
