WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT:  Wesleyan athletes honor local heroes on September 11th

Rocky Mount, NC - September 11th is a time for remembering our fallen heroes from New York to Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C.  It is also a time to recognize those local heroes that risk their lives daily to insure the safety of our Rocky Mount community. 

For this reason, the student-athletes of North Carolina Wesleyan will honor our local policemen and firefighters by distributing game passes to all Battling Bishop sporting events.  The passes, which are good for up to four people, are being delivered to ten area stations by Wesleyan student-athletes and coaches.

This marks the fourth consecutive season that the Bishops have honored the tragedy of September 11th, 2001 by distributing these passes, which serve as a small token of our gratitude for our local law enforcement.
