WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT:  Wesleyan basketball to honor 2007-2008 senior class

Rocky Mount, NC - Prior to the start of Monday's basketball games versus Methodist University, the Battling Bishop men's and women's basketball squads, along with head coaches John Brackett and John Thompson, will say farewell to their respective senior classes. Below is a brief description of each player's career.

#11 Shawnte dickens
Shawnte transferred to Wesleyan from Louisburg College and has provided a spark off the bench this season.  She is currently third on the team with 16 three-pointers made and is averaging nearly four points per game. Additionally, she has tallied 38 rebounds and seven steals.  A native of Chesapeake, VA, Shawnte is the daughter of Stacey Sanders and Valerie Dickens. She is seeking her bachelor's degree in Psychology.

#40 CHEYENNE HALL
Cheyenne is a four-year letterwinner for Coach Brackett. In 81 career games, she has amassed over 500 points, 500 rebounds, and 100 steals, while shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor.  This season, she is averaging nine points and eight rebounds per game, serving as team captain.  A native of Stafford, VA, Cheyenne is the daughter of Hariold and Diane Hall.  She is seeking her bachelor's degree in Psychology.

#4 JARVIS COBB
Jarvis has played in 76 games over three seasons during his Battling Bishop career and has scored 753 points entering Monday night’s game against Methodist University.  He has knocked down an impressive 144 three-pointers, while tallying 181 rebounds, 101 assists, and 81 steals.  A native of Raeford, NC, Jarvis is the son of Brenda McGregor. He is seeking his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. 


#14 LENNY HALL
Lenny has played in 104 games during his Bishop career and is North Carolina Wesleyan’s all-time leading scorer with 1,904 points.  He has also amassed 372 assists, 232 steals, and knocked down 629 free throws, while shooting 80% at the charity stripe. Additionally, Lenny is a three-time Most Valuable Player and All-Conference selection. A native of Wilmington, NC, Lenny is the son of Leonard Hall, II and Valerie Troy. He seeking his bachelor's degree in Business Administration. 

Both coaches would like to thank each of these young men and women for the contributions they have made to the Bishop basketball program. The Department of Athletics wishes all four athletes the best of luck in the future.
