Wesleyan honors 2009-2010 athletes at awards ceremony

Rocky Mount, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan Department of Athletics honored its 2009-2010 athletic teams and student-athletes on Tuesday night, April 20th, in the Dunn Center. Major awards of the night went to Athletes of the Year Brittany Insley of volleyball and Trey Drake of men's basketball, while volleyball's Barbara DeRatt was named Female Student-Athlete of the Year.  This season's Male Student-Athlete of the Year award was shared by Bo Jordan of football and Antti Saari of men's tennis. The program also featured the 3rd Annual Wesley Awards that recognized both team and individual accomplishments, followed by a highlight video featuring all Battling Bishop squads.

In addition to the major awards, each sport presented three individual awards:  the Moe Bauer Sportsmanship Award, the Scholar-Athlete Award, and Most Valuable Player.  Below are all of Wesleyan's 2009-2010 award winners, as well as Wesley recipients.
