Wesleyan SAAC to sponsor "Cans Across the Conference"

Rocky Mount, NC - The NCWC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is once again participating in the USA South's "Cans Across the Conference" competition.  The yearly fundraiser involves the collection of canned goods for donation to needy organizations and families.  North Carolina Wesleyan will be sponsoring this worthy cause by collecting cans and/or monetary contributions at each home football game this season.

These dates of collection began on Saturday, September 12th when the Bishops hosted Salisbury University at the Northern Nash Football Complex.  SAAC representatives will next be present to accept donations at Wesleyan's October 3rd, October 24th, and November 7th home contests.  All games are slated for 1:00 p.m.

The “Cans Across the Conference” competition runs until mid-November and at that time, a trophy will be awarded to the USA South member institution that collects the most cans.
