WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT:  Wesleyan athletes to honor local heroes on September 11th

Rocky Mount, NC - September 11th is a time for remembering our fallen heroes from New York to Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C.  It is also a time to recognize those local heroes that risk their lives daily to insure the safety of our Rocky Mount community. 

For this reason, the student-athletes of North Carolina Wesleyan annually honor our local policemen and firefighters by distributing

season passes to all Bishop sporting events.  The passes, which are good for  up to four people, will be delivered to area stations by Wesleyan student-athletes and coaches this week.

This marks the seventh consecutive season that the Battling Bishops have honored the tragedy of September 11th, 2001 by distributing these passes, which serve as a small token of our gratitude for our local law enforcement.
