Wesleyan runners wrap up season at
USA South meet

- The Battling Bishop cross country
squad wrapped up its 2007 slate on
Saturday, finishing eighth in the
USA South Championship Meet held at
Greenboro’s Stone Park. Sophomore
Juliana Richardson paced Wesleyan in
the 6K race by turning in a time of
31:46. Christopher Newport took
home first place team honors, while
Captain runner Amy Wampler finished
first individually with a time of
24:25.
Also competing for the Bishops were
Jessica Pollard (35:49), Meghan Herd
(37:21), Ashley Ball (38:37), and
Tasheika Fulmore (43:01). Wesleyan
recorded 221 points as a team and
finished in front of Peace and
Averett, which each failed to
produce team scores.
