Organizational
Guidelines/ Cabinet Duties
Cabinet Membership
-
The Cabinet shall consist of 15 to 25
active members of the NCWCAA, known popularly as the Battling Bishops
Club (BBC).
-
Cabinet members shall be elected to three
year terms, renewable once (initially one-third shall be elected to
three-year, two-year, and one-year terms)
-
The Cabinet shall meet a minimum of twice
per year
Responsibilities of Cabinet Members
As a group, the Cabinet is asked
to:

Make recommendations to the Executive
Board concerning policies and guidelines for the NCWCAA
-
Play an active role in the annual
membership drive
-
Play an active role in organizing and
planning annual NCWCAA activities and events
Executive Board Cabinet Officers
-
The Executive Board shall consist of 4 to
6 volunteer members plus the following ex-officio members:

Director of Athletics
-
President of NCWC
-
Vice-President of Development
-
Officers of the Cabinet shall serve
two-year terms and will include:

Chair
-
Chair-Elect
-
Past-Chair
-
Secretary
-
The Executive Board shall nominate
candidates for the Cabinet, its officers, and new members of the
Executive Board. The Cabinet shall elect officers and Executive Board
members as well as new Cabinet members.

The Cabinet and Executive Board shall be
staffed by a member of the Development Office.
Chair
-
The NCWCAA Chair shall preside at all
meetings of the NCWCAA and the NCWCAA Cabinet. The chair shall also be
authorized to call meetings, prepare agendas for meetings, and assist
other officers and NCWCAA Cabinet members in the performance of their
duties.
Chair-Elect
-
The Chair-Elect shall prepare to assume
the duties of the Chair and perform other duties requested by the chair
and/or the Cabinet.
Past-Chair
-
The NCWCAA Chair-Elect shall fulfill the
duties of chairman in the chairs absence and such other duties as the
NCWCAA Cabinet or the chair shall request.
Secretary
-
A designated member of the Development
staff shall serve as secretary to the Executive Committee. The
secretary shall faithfully record the proceedings of all NCWCAA and
NCWCAA Cabinet meetings and maintain such records in an orderly and
accessible fashion in the NCWCAA office. The secretary of the Executive
Committee is a non-voting member of the NCWCAA Cabinet.
