If you would like to make an appointment for counseling services, call 985-5230 or come visit us at the Health Center in the Spruill Building.

HOURS

Wednesday - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday - 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

HOW DO I REFER A STUDENT?

Faculty and staff can call the office at 985-5230, visit the Health Center in the Spruill Building, or mail the referral form by campus mail or e-mail.

(Referral forms are available under FORMS.)

HOW LONG WILL I BE INVOLVED IN COUNSELING?

Counseling services at the Health Center follow a time-limited model of service delivery. Sessions are usually scheduled on a weekly basis, with each session lasting approximately 50 minutes.

The length of treatment varies depending on the nature of the problem. It will typically last from 1-8 sessions, but the actual length of treatment will be determined by you and your counselor. Off-campus referrals may be recommended for longer term treatment. All issues regarding treatment and referrals will be discussed by your counselor.
