BEFORE THEY WERE CRIMINALS

In this paper, I will be discussing the effect I think an individual's childhood has on their criminal life.  When a juvenile commits a series of serious crimes, what should we do?  First, I think we should get lots of background on the individual.  Next, we need to research and see if there are any kind of disturbing events that took place in their life, at least, question all the kinds of events a child has had.  These questions could be exactly what is needed to convict or not convict the juvenile.  Children are taught certain things and they mimic what they see.  If the only thing that a child grows up around is violence and neglect, they will, the majority of the time, do what they have been taught or "act out" in order to get attention that they have sought forever.
