Two basic cable television lines are provided in each room. Additional channels may be purchased from Suddenlink Communications. You will need a cable access box provided by Suddenlink for all extended channels. You can contact Suddenlink Communications at (252)443-1592.

You are responsible for returning your cable box to the Suddenlink Communications office in Rocky Mount at the end of the school year.

Computer Networking

There is one port per person in each room for access to the College’s mainframe.  Connecting will allow you instant access to the internet.

To be connected there is a one-time fee (only for those machines that do already have a network card):

$75 for 10base-T Network Card, CAT-5 cable and installation

$30 for CAT-5 cable and network configuration

This fee must be paid in the Business Office or during the Administrative Check-In process.  Then take your receipt along with the CPU to the Information Services Department in the Spruill Building. They will install everything you need and let you know when your computer is available for pick-up. The computer must be PC Compatible (Pentium III or 4 class processor - minimum 750 MHz) with Microsoft Windows (98, NT 4.0, 2000, XP, WITH O.S. CD).
